James Bond 007: The Phoenix Project

    (Titan, 2007)

Continuing the serialization of the popular James Bond newspaper strips, The Phoenix Project anthology collects the story of the same name along with The Black Ruby Caper, Till Death Do Us Part, and The Torch-Time Affair from 1974 to 1976. Within these tales is the double oh seven Ian Fleming brought to life in the 1950s with the novel, Casino Royale.

Up until 1978, the strip adapted Ian Fleming's own Bond stories, many with his supervision and blessing in the beginning. With “The Harpies” in James Bond 007: The Spy Who Loved Me and later anthologies, readers are now treated to reprints of the original stories by Jim Lawrence. The Black Ruby Caper in this collection also is notable for the first time female nudity is introduced to this particular newspaper strip.
