Battlestar Galactica: Cylon Apocalypse

Javier Grillo-Marxuach, a one-time writer for the TV show “Lost” and creator of The Middle Man, takes on another television show with this miniseries starring the characters of the Classic Battlestar Galactica. Unfettered by the constraints of having to fit with the continuity of an ongoing show, Grillo-Marxuach and artist Carlos Rafael are able to deeply explore the mythology of Galactica and advance the plot significantly. Perhaps taking a cue from developments on the new Battlestar Galactica, the creators take a look at how Cylon society operates through the plot device of a civil war. They also take a huge step in resolving the Galactica’s quest in locating Earth.
