Xombie: Reanimated

Xombie: Reanimated takes place in a post-apocalyptic future where most of the world’s people have become flesh-eating monsters; the few remaining humans live in settlements underground, in perpetual hiding from the zombies who still roam the Earth. In an interesting twist on the zombie genre, a few of these creatures have developed the ability to talk and think like normal humans—these are called “variants,” “talkers,” or “xombies.” Some xombies, like Dirge, the hero of Xombie: Reanimated, have good hearts and look out for humankind, but others want revenge for the zombies’ defeat against humankind in the first human/zombie war. When one such evil talker hijacks a human supply train, the human government must turn to Zoe, a young girl who once befriended Dirge. But can any xombie be trusted?

Xombie: Reanimated is the sequel to a series of Flash cartoons produced by James Farr. Links to the original webisodes can be found on Farr’s website.
