In 2006, the Decepticon robots have taken over the Earth. In 1986, meanwhile, Megatron prepares to destroy the Autobots on Earth, while the resistance movement on the Transformers’ home planet of Cybertron is in trouble. What do these two things have to do with each other? For one thing, Megatron is destined to become Galvatron in 2006, and in his new body intends to return to 1986. Once there, he’ll make sure the future turns out differently—by ending the battle once and for all in the past!
This trippy time-travel yarn, originally presented as an 11-issue storyline in the Marvel UK line of comics, has the action and cleverness that have long made the characters cult favorites. Simon Furman and a variety of artists collaborate on the re-packaged series, with each issue featuring several new variant covers.
