For What It’s Worth…
(J.T. Garrett & Associates, 2006)

This is a digest-sized comic book that is a series of photocopied pages stapled together and folded in half. Myque is the creator of Squirreled Away, a fairly amusing webcomic that can be read for free online and in color.
Myque must’ve been having a bad week when he put this sampling of his characters together. It is unnecessarily angry and bitter and contains a series of disjointed sequences with his squirrel characters. The creator comes across as a tightly wound urbanite who doesn’t do himself any favors by letting his frustrations spill into his comic book.
The appeal of most webcomics is the creators themselves. Many of the fans latch onto webcomic creators because they like them as people and they consider them to be friends of sorts. I think Myque does himself a disservice with this, possibly losing more people than he gains. He should make this shorter and give it away to get people to come to his website. Then, maybe, down the road, once he has enough hits, he could put together a compilation.
