May 5th, 2007 heralded the sixth Free Comic Book Day! Publishers provided comic book stores with free books to lure customers in and hopefully get the reading public interested in their particular books.

Blatant’s contribution to FCBD 2007 was issue #1 of Last Blood, and it was a surprisingly good beginning. Humanity is now limited to pockets of survivors in a world populated by flesh-eating zombies. Their only hope for survival- vampires. The vampires can’t survive if all their blood sources are eliminated and protecting humanity is now their job. But even with all the death and destruction, a terrifying pattern begins to emerge. One creature seems to be controlling the zombie hordes and it’s origin may be what has doomed the human race to oblivion.
