Sollitaria

A rather disparate anthology, Sollitaria deals with bizarre encounters between average people and the unusual or paranormal. In the somewhat awkward “Taxi Ride” by Marco Antonio Barón, a taxi driver escorts an agent of Death around town to collect souls. In the strongest story, Fabiana Apocalypse’s “Lonely,” an isolated man find solace in the ethereal arms of a ghost. Michael Smith draws both stories. “Mad Tom O’ Bedlam,” a bonus tale by John Flanagan, posits that a Jack the Ripper-type murderer is actually a demon, dispatched back to Hell by his pursuers.
