Mary Scary

From the day she arrived at the orphanage, Mary Scary just didn’t fit in. Perhaps the nuns should have taken a hint from the monster-claw basket she arrived in and the skull-like rattle clutched in her tiny fist. So this dark and odd baby turned into a dark and odd child that families shied away from adopting. When you only wear black and have a pet spider dangling from your head or a snake twisting around your neck, you don’t make a lot of friends. But a surprise Halloween visitor may help Mary find the sense of belonging she's always wanted.
