The fourth installment of Michael Turner’s immensely popular Soulfire series, New World Order continues the plot laid down by the first Soulfire comics of a select group of people who are given the destiny of bringing magic back into the world. As the series opens, a whole new group of people have been granted magical powers—but one of them, Ragman, happens to be a homicidal maniac. These heroes must now deal with not only the corrupted world around them, but an individual bent on using his gifts for all the wrong reasons.

Any fans of Michael Turner’s previous work on the title will want to follow the story here, even though this time scripting duties are handled exclusively by J.T. Krul, and art by Francisco Herrera. Still, this book is a crucial step forward in the evolution of Turner’s “Aspen Universe.”
