In the hit TV series Supernatural, two brothers travel America investigating mysterious and unexplained events. In what might be considered this decade’s X-Files, Sam and Dean pursue every supernatural threat they can find, from ghosts, demons and vampires to over-zealous fellow hunters.

Naturally, they didn’t pick this job by accident—Mom was killed when they were young, and Dad was smart enough to know there was more going on than the police wanted to admit. John Winchester dedicated the rest of his life, and his kids’ as well, to hunting the supernatural in the ultimate hope of avenging his wife.

True to it’s title, this series tells the backstory of the TV show, as John and his boys discover that things that go bump in the night are real! A back-up story focuses a bit more on the boys themselves, as big brother Dean attempts to shield Sam from the nightmare their lives have become.
