Ash Williams, everyone’s favorite chainsaw-toting redneck anti-hero, has finally returned to his own world—all it took was his own death and a harrowing encounter with zombie super-heroes (Marvel Zombies/Army of Darkness). But Detroit is no longer the city he left behind: aided by the mystical power of the Necronomicon, the city has been devastated by the Deadites and Ash’s nefarious double, Evil Ash Prime. The book’s power has literally reshaped the destiny of the world, allowing Evil Ash to reign supreme, and the Deadite hordes to ravage what’s left of humanity.

How can one man—even one as supremely cool as Ash—hope to defeat an entire zombie empire? In this case, their help comes in the form of several new allies and a prophecy that says they have a chance—just a small chance, mind you—of saving the world.
