Chinless (and clueless) Nihilist-Man—who doesn’t act very nihilistic—anchors this black and white anthology of reprinted Web comic strips. The book features solo tales of NM and his erstwhile sidekick Kid-Cockroach, along with crossovers featuring other Web-only heroes. The crossover team includes Nihilist-Man himself, the lackluster Lethargic Lad, the heroic Him, the cigar-chomping rogue Hunter, and the upbeat Buzzboy. Even the classic E-Man makes a cameo appearance drawn by his co-creator, the wonderful Joe Staton.

Long on energy and short on coherent storylines, the creators of Nihilist-Man and His Amazing Friends should probably hone their skills on the Web before trying another print experiment.
