Spider-Man Featuring the Silver Surfer Magazine
™ and © Marvel Characters, Inc.
Reprints Marvel Adventures, Marvel Adventures Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer (Vol. 4) and the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Fantastic Four 2005, along with some funbook activities and a few other odds and ends. The first two stories are by Fred Van Lente and Cory Hamscher, in which Peter Parker’s trip to buy some cheap clothes brings him into conflict with the Sandman while trying to preserve his secret identity. The Fantastic Four tale reimagines the group’s first faceoff with Galactus, and the Silver Surfer’s ensuing fall from grace. The Silver Surfer tale is a neat Stan Lee/John Buscema brouhaha between Spidey and the Surfer, who takes a whipping to save an innocent boy.
