Predator: Jungle Tales

™ and ©1987, 1995 Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation

This one-shot special reprints two Predator tales that originally ran in serial form in Dark Horse Comics.

The first story, Rite of Passage, is a very nicely done piece where the storytelling is done without relying on any dialog or panel captions. A young African tribesman is sent on a quest to hunt down a tiger and prove his manhood, armed only with a spear. He accomplished just that, but returned home to find his entire village slaughtered by a Predator. He then begins a hunt to find the killer, placing him at a much greater danger than when he took on the tiger.

The second tale is set in 1936 along the Serengeti. There, white hunters scoffed at the tales of a demon that was stalking the jungle—although they would soon learn how deadly some “big game” can be.
