Published by Paradox Press, a subsidiary of DC Comics, Weird is a magazine size publication that collects strange and often-sensationalistic stories told in short comic form. Topics range from outlandish political conspiracies to true stories based on bizarre, yet factual events with each issue focusing on a particular topic. Paradox Press, known for publishing graphic novels for a mature audience, also puts out the popular series of Big Books including The Big Book of Conspiracies and The Big Book of Urban Legends.
