Bozo the Clown in 3-D (Larry Harmon’s…)
(Blackthorne, 1987-1988)
™ and © 1987 Larry Harmon Pictures
What could be better than reading about that wacky childhood icon, Bozo the Clown? Why, reading about him in the magical realm of 3-D, of course! Through the miracle of red and blue printing, Bozo the Clown comes alive in this one-shot from the premiere publisher of old-fashioned 3-D comics. Strangely though, this adventure has its share of dark imagery. Bozo is literally disintegrated one day by a cloud of negative Bozons (I don’t write this stuff). His friend grows up to be an atomic scientist who reintegrates him and discovers that errant Bozons have been absorbed by luminaries like a certain buffoonish President Ronald Reagan! Unfortunately, the negative Bozons still exist, and they create an arch-foe that Bozo and his band of buddies will have to fight in order to make the world safe for homework, trite lessons and smacking people in the face with pies.
