World Without End

Years before Defiant produced Warriors of Plasm, John Higgins and Jamie Delano envisioned another world where all was biology and living flesh. Here the world is simply known as the Host, a pulsating vastness into which all other life is deeply connected. Architecture, technology—indeed the nature of power itself—are all composed of organic matter.

Just as in Earth’s dark ages, this world is controlled by a system of guilds, with each holding sway over some profession or facet of life. And just as happened on Earth, they all seek to enforce their own world view, or else risk losing power.

Here, the power is all male, with eugenics and ritual used to ensure the “purity” of maleness. But out on the wild fringes, far from the eyes of the city, rumors are strong of a rogue being that could destroy their world.
