Conrad is the survivor of a plane crash in the wilderness of Washington State. Separated from his father, Conrad’s survival is unlikely. When he encounters a rabid bear, his demise is all but certain until he is yanked into the relative safety of a tree by Flink. Flink is a creature commonly known as Bigfoot and though he has every reason to leave Conrad to his fate, he risks his life and the acceptance of his tribe to help him.

Doug Tannapel, the creator of Earthworm Jim and Tommysaurus Rex, tells a sweet, sentimental tale of a boy and his Bigfoot. His art evokes innocence and sincerity and is extremely expressive, which serves the emotional underpinnings of the story very well.
