From the Publisher:

Fudge the Elf, and his friend Speck, both live in Leafy Wood near Pixieville…Fudge in a tiny cottage, and Speck in a hollow tree possessing a door and small latticed windows.

But they are not the conventional type of elf, who uses fairy-tale magic alone; for though they may shelter under a toadstool or ride to Pixieville on a dormouse, they are just as likely to become involved with the manufacture of a battery-operated umbrella or journey by rocket to some unknown planet in the vastness of the universe.

In the exciting adventure of Fudge and the Dragon however, magic does prevail…and in a most upsetting manner. When Blink, one of their woodland elf friends, is turned into a caterpillar by Mor, the angry magician, they ask Woozle the Wood Wizard to help turn him back into an elf. But Woozle is so scatty and absent minded he forgets to put a vital ingredient into the spell, with disastrous results. Only a Dragon’s Tooth can save the unfortunate Blink, and Fudge and Speck set out to find one…ending up instead in the Land of Nowhere…
