In the dark reaches of space, Star Corps Captain Daniel Troy is sent on a mission to determine why a star has mysteriously disappeared. Landing on the fourth planet out from the sun, Troy discovers an evil and powerful being called Abyss who plans to rule the galaxy.

Luckily, while still on the planet, Troy activates a machine that opens a doorway for a creature known as ShadowStar. ShadowStar bestows on Troy the ability to harness energy and shape it to his will.

Troy will need every ounce of that power to face Abyss and his followers in the climactic battle known as the Darkwar. Even with the help of a small band of heroes, including the lovely Foxfur and the robotic Forbin, can Troy save the galaxy?
