Former Olympic boxer Marc Mason is the super-hero, Fist of Justice. He is a reporter at The Daily Spectacle, Charm City’s leading newspaper and his girlfriend Amy also works there. They’re not really reinventing the wheel here, but that is intentional. Writer Mike Imboden longed for the more light-hearted, uncomplicated comics like the kind he read as a kid in the 70s. Although Fist of Justice seems like a brightly colored cliche-spouting caricature he has a tortured past. He has been missing for thirty years and in his absence, a darker, more violent First of Justice has usurped his position as Charm City’s protector. The original Fist of Justice must determine who his replacement is and more importantly if he even wants to reclaim the title. Imboden touches on themes that have been more thoroughly explored books like Kingdom Come or Watchmen.
The first issue of this series continues the story begun in the anthology title, Digital Webbing Presents.
