Marvels Comics: Spider-Man

    (Marvel, 2000)
™ and ©2000 Marvel Characters, Inc.

Spider-Man truly becomes an arachnid in this horror-styled take on the character, a brief look at how the Marvel Universe itself would’ve written the web spinner. The Daily Bugle’s gruff publisher J. Jonah Jameson is T.T. Thomas of The Clarion in this version. Thomas is convinced that Spider-Man murdered his son Jay, an astronaut who was seemingly killed on a trip to Mars, not knowing that Jay is Spider-Man. Spider-Man does more than catch criminals; he devours them. Kyle Hotz’s art is very similar to the moody, Gothic work of Bernie Wrightson.
