In our beauty–obsessed society, the standards for attractiveness usually begin and end with thinness. Most comic book porn, manga or otherwise, takes this standard as a given. But different strokes for different folks means that some people find sexual excitement in the opposite extreme, and thus books like this one are born. Here, the women are quite overweight—“chubby” is an understatement—and not much time is wasted on expository setup in each short episode before they the graphic sex begins. Rape, nighttime fantasies, and straightforward sex are among the themes covered.

Somewhere there’s a decent message here: Fat can be beautiful. By and large, though, that message is lost in manga–styled stories and pinups with nothing on their mind but raw sex.
