Robin/Argent Double-Shot
(DC, 1998)
™ and © DC Comics
Gotham City is already crowded with heroes, but when the Teen Titans disband after a team member’s death, the young woman known as Argent feels the need for guidance from someone else. She seeks out Robin, who knows a little something about training, but since he’s still learning himself, he hardly feels qualified to train her. (Besides, he already has the mysterious Spoiler hanging around.) Still, that doesn’t mean he’s opposed to a team-up if the situation calls for it, although Argent soon finds this particular case to be more personal than she’s ready for. It’s also more trouble than she can bring Robin, or anyone, into with her.
Is it the “new dynamic duo,” as the cover suggests? Unlikely, but it is one of a series of DC one-shots featuring unique team-ups. Written by Dan Jurgens and Chuck Dixon and drawn by Greg Land.
