Captain America: Dead Men Running

™ and ©2002 Marvel Characters, Inc.

Captain America has always been the exemplar of the straight and narrow for the Marvel Universe, a kind of moral rock of Gibraltar. Deep down though, lies the sneaking suspicion that he’s really a relic, not just outmoded and outclassed, but outdated. In this period of millennial self-examination, it’s only fitting that a darker and more introspective Cap tale should come along. When the moral compass begins to swing wildly, where does Cap stand? With his country or with his countrymen?

Five American soldiers slog through the Colombian jungle, low on supplies and morale, their mission as mysterious as their motives. When the familiar red, white and blue officer parachutes in, it seems like all their worries are over. But the closer they get to help, the more the questions pile up. When your ally becomes your enemy, whom do you trust?
