I•Bots (Isaac Asimov’s…, 2nd Series)

    (Big, 1996-1997)
™ and ©1996 Big Entertainment, Inc.

The I•Bots are a team of robots who were created as super-heroes to protect mankind. As this series begins, they must save one of their own, Killaine, who had been used as a pawn in the murder of a prominent politician. Although videotapes of the crime scene clearly show Killaine committing the brutal act, the team knows she couldn’t have done it, for like them, her own programming would have automatically reduced her to scrap had she murdered a human being.

This series is based upon famed science-fiction author Isaac Asimov’s original concept, drawn most probably from the famous “I, Robot” stories. Writing duties are handled by noted comic talent Steven Grant, with art by Pat Broderick (Prime). Aside from the original robot concept, Asimov had no involvement with this series, having long since passed away by the time this series began.
