This could easily have become a cutesy, fluffy, or satirical title. Instead, ’Mazing Man has a charm and innocence that rises above all that, becoming a cult favorite even to this day.

The hero is Siegfried Horatio Hunch III, also known as the diminutive super-hero ’Mazing Man. He’s really just an ordinary (albeit short) guy who gets involved when others stand aside. Even if that makes him a bit crazy, it’s probably the true definition of a hero.

But of course, a hero is nothing without his supporting cast. It includes Guido, the car-crazy macho man; Eddie and Brenda, the quintessentially happy couple, and comic writer Denton Fixx—who, for no apparent reason, has puppy dog ears. Sure it’s silly—but it’s also touching and charmingly human.
