30 Days of Night: Eben & Stella

Though a bit presumptuous that its audience has read the stories preceding it, 30 Days of Night: Eben & Stella still bounds ahead of the original comic in terms of both the story and its telling. If only it were a little more distinguished from other vampire-hunter tales, but how many times can you recapture a great concept like vampires in a snowed-in Alaskan town? Loyal fans will be more than happy with the team of Steve Niles and Kelly Sue DeConnick’s continuation of the legend, especially as ethereally rendered by Justin Randall, whose art glows like a hot coal.
