Millennium Edition: Adventure Comics

When this series began way back in the late 1930s, its adventures could cover pretty much anything: seafaring, crime, mysteries, and ultimately, super-heroes. Superman, Sandman, and Hourman were among those featured, although for a long time in its heyday it was Superboy in the starring role, with backups from characters like Aquaman and Green Arrow. But perhaps its greatest milestone came in #347, when Superboy met three heroes from the future whose powers rivaled his own: “The Legion of Super-Heroes.” From that beginning came the popular super team which grew in numbers and popularity over the years that followed, even through until today.

Jack Ward, Joe Simon, and Jack Kirby were among the well-know creators who contributed to this classic series over its lengthy run.
