Mortigan Goth: Immortalis
(Marvel UK, 1993-1994)
Marvel UK
In 1349, England was wracked by the plague. A third of the population was dead, and the rest lived in fear. Despairing for his own life, Mortigan Goth pleaded to the Devil to be saved. Little did he know that the Devil would actually appear. They played chess that day; the prize was immortality. Although the Devil tried to distract him, Goth prevailed. Unfortunately, the Devil is a sore loser. Mortigan Goth is now immortal, but his life seems cursed with tragedy. Six centuries ago, plague took the lives of those close to him, and death seems to follow him today. But what Goth can tell you about death… now that’s a story worth hearing!
