Rachel Ahmed got her start as an actress in the underwater monster flick “Idol of Slime.” Over the years, she had managed to work her way into more respectable roles, and thought her humble debut forgotten—until a sharp lawyer discovered that her initial contract on “Idol” stipulated that she would star in any sequel.

Almost from the beginning, there was trouble. The new film was shot on location in a defunct military complex, formerly used for biological weapons research. Although the base commander swore that the base had been thoroughly decontaminated, it was clear that there was something wrong. A mysterious “phantom” pilfered the crew’s food and supplies. Unexplainable power surges tore through equipment, causing deadly accidents. In time, it became clear that the answer to these mysteries lay behind the steel doors of the sealed area of the base—an area that was off limits to all—but which was clearly inhabited.
