Armorines

The Armorines are a special strike force of marines clad in high-tech armor developed by copying features of the X-O Manowar suit worn by Aric Dacia. Although their armor doesn’t allow them to fly like the Manowar suit, it does provide them with strength and near-invulnerability. Moreover, their suits are armed with collection of ion and laser weapons, as well as an awesomely destructive particle beam cannon. To command all this, the marines are paired up with remote “co-pilots” who help them analyze the battlefield and prepare strategy. (In this, the Armorines resemble the members of H.A.R.D. Corps who rely on a remote command center to switch their powers.)

This title premiered in X-O Manowar #25, in a bound-in Armorines #0 comic. That issue also showed that even though the Armorines are fundamentally good men, there is always the chance that they, or those that command them will abuse their great powers.
