Human Target Special

    (DC, 1991)
™ and ©1991 DC Comics, Inc.

Christopher Chance has chosen an extremely strange line of work: he impersonates people that are marked for death. He becomes, in effect, a human target—trying to draw the assassin into the open, and stop them before he suffers the ultimate on-the-job-injury. The payoff: he gets 10% of the target’s yearly salary, “whether you’re Donald Trump, or Donald Trump’s gardener.”

This special issue served as a prelude to the ABC television show of the same name. In it, Chance impersonates a drug agent whom a drug kingpin has sworn to kill. But when Chance assumes the agent’s identity, he’ll find out that he’s not the only one who isn’t what he seems…
