Johnny Mack Brown began his career as a major league football player before transitioning into the world of B-movie cowboy. Brown, along with his horse Rebel pranced through a number of these Saturday afternoon matinee programmers as well as this comic book series. He also appeared in Dell’s Western Roundup. Probably Brown’s biggest claim to fame was the movie Hell Town, but not because of his appearance but rather one of John Wayne and Alan Ladd.
