More than a sidekick but not quite a girlfriend, Kelly is the girl Friday to Mr. Monster, the one who keeps the bills paid and operation running smooth while her boss (and not quite boyfriend) battles icky things to save the world.

In short stories ranging from slapstick humor to subtle humanity, this book showcases Kelly’s life outside of work. Tales include her trip to Paris in search of the perfect non-destructible wardrobe, which leaves Mr. Monster trying to deal with the inefficient temp sent in her place. In another, Kelly heads home for her sister’s wedding, only to discover the groom is not at all what he appears to be. Intervening might mean destroying her sister’s chance for true love.
