A genetic breakthrough that promises to lengthen the human life span to 200 years is dispensed by way of a “Longevity Wafer” from the Primacy Church. The faithful members of the Primacy Church have also banded together as the Primacy Party and are very well funded. The burgeoning power of this politically active church alarms certain governmental agencies especially since the wafer doesn’t cure existing diseases, protect against death by violence or work on anyone older than thirty-five. All convenient exceptions since it will be years before the jig is up.

Add to this mix: the man who developed the Longevity Wafer is the target of an assassination by his estranged son. Also a senator with eyes on the presidency, who uses his office to delay an FDA investigation of the wafer and a myriad of genetic freaks and two-headed men round out this psychological thriller.
