Crazy (Marvel)

When Marvel began reprinting its classic stories, it was only a matter of time before they got around to Not Brand Echh, their broad humor and super-hero parody series from the late 1960s. Not Brand Echh lampooned Marvel and DC super-hero comics with wit aimed squarely at the recognizable species that had evolved during the Marvel Silver Age, comicus fanboyus, and may not hold the same enchantment for later readers. However, many of the genuinely funny moments in the book were powered by the truly riotous artwork of Marie Severin. What might have been fresh and funny the first time around apparently proved less popular in reprint format and Crazy lasted a scant three issues.
