Tiger-X

    (Eternity, 1988)
™ and ©1988 Ben Dunn

It’s 1993, and the Soviets have invaded America. Using huge, armored “battlesuits” and Tri-Tanks, they have easily overrun all opposition. The only thing that might stop them is an experimental American battlesuit named Tiger-X. That’s all well and good—except that the inventors in charge of the Tiger-X project have been brainwashed by the Soviets, and now can’t even remember the location of the battlesuit!

Ben Dunn (creator of Ninja High School) does his usual terrific job of capturing the excitement of Japanese “Mecha” comics and making them accessible to an American audience. This 1988 series is continued from the Tiger-X Special, and was successful enough to spawn a second series the following year.
