Young Timothy Hunter was just a regular kid—spectacles and all. Little did he know that he also possessed the potential to become the greatest magician since Merlin. But others knew, and they determined to show him his choices in life. Among them were the Phantom Stranger, John Constantine (Hellblazer), Doctor Occult, and Mister E. They appeared to Timothy and took him on a journey to show him what magic was all about. Guided by each of them, Timothy would travel from England to New York, meeting everyone from the Spectre to Madame Xanadu to Doctor Fate…for that matter, every major occult character in the DC universe. Ultimately, Timothy would have to choose his own path, but in the beginning, it starts with a simple question: “Do you believe in magic?“

The Books of Magic was a four-issue mini-series of graphic novels graced by the storytelling of Neil Gaiman (Sandman) and stunning painted art by John Bolton.
