Octobriana

    (Revolution, 1996-1997)
™ and ©1996 Revolution Comics

As a young girl, she was taken from her family and fashioned into a super-powered weapon for the Communist party. For years she followed orders, a scourge to all who would oppose the Soviet Union—until she met some supposed terrorists who made her reevaluate her beliefs. She turned her back on the government, and became a symbol of hope and change. Like any dissident, she was eventually captured and imprisoned, and during the years her exploits became the stuff of folktales and comic books.

In present day Russia, a country struggling to survive the transition to democracy, a well-meaning government clerk orders the shutdown of what appears to be an almost-abandoned prison facility, not knowing that it had kept Octobriana captive for over thirty years. Now that she’s free, can the Russian devil-woman find a place for herself in this strange, new world?
