A washed-up cowboy serial actor who gets a chance to live up to the reputation he built in his popular fiction adventures. A gun that seemingly has a life of its own in aiding innocents in defending themselves against villains. These and other harrowing tales of adventure in the Old West are the core of this mini-series, which presents several stories in each issue, occasionally incorporating lengthy text passages accented by pictures.

DC’s Vertigo imprint struck gold with this series, not just with the stories themselves but with the A-list creators. Dave Gibbons, Paul Pope, and Greg Rucka are among the talents happy to bring their abilities to telling western tales.
