Rex Racer needed to prove to his father that he was the best. He left his family and journeyed to the kingdom of Kapetapek at the invitation of its leader Prince Kabala. Yet, terrorists are determined to take over the small nation and only Rex can discover the secret of the Treasure of Kapetapek.

This mini-series gives readers some background on Speed Racer’s long lost brother and the events which lead up to his striking out on his own and becoming the mysterious driver constantly challenging Speed and his friends as Racer X.
