Sgt. Rock’s Prize Battle Tales Replica Edition

    (DC, 2000)
™ and ©1964 DC Comics

DC’s great war comic heroes: Sgt. Rock, Gunner and Sarge, the Haunted Tank—were all mustered out of circulation by the early 1980s, so many of today’s readers never got to experience the tight storytelling and often spectacular artwork featured in those titles. DC provided a glimpse into the glory days of war comics with the replica edition of the classic 80 Page Giant Magazine #7, originally from 1964. The book features seven hard-hitting stories featuring Rock, the Frogmen and other combat-happy joes, beautifully drawn by Joe Kubert, Russ Heath, Andru & Esposito and Irv Novick. The high-quality squarebound reprint is a time capsule from DC’s classic Silver Age.
