This nicely illustrated special gives the detailed specifications of the various craft seen in the “Projekt Saucer” storyline that ran through early issues of Luftwaffe: 1946 (Vol. 2). In addition to the technical drawings and descriptions, it includes summaries of “foo fighter” sightings over German airspace which were at first thought to be some sort of strange new German superweapon. Creator Ted Nomura seized on this concept for the Projekt Saucer storyline, incorporating the flying discs into his vision of an alternate world where Germany was victorious in World War II.
