Skreemer

Think of Skreemer as a post-apocalyptic version of The Godfather, brought to you with characteristic flair by Peter Milligan (Enigma). It begins some years in the future, after plague has laid waste to the cities, causing the sort of hole in the fabric of society that only gangs and organized crime can fill. In the dirty tenements that remained, the streets turned mean, with people doing anything in their power to make a buck, anything—thievery, child prostitution, or even murder—in order to survive.

Out of those streets grew the gang lords of that era, the “Presidents,” much like the Godfathers of a hundred years past. Among them were three kids, a black boy named Dutch Amsterdam, a world-hardened woman named Victoria Chandler, and the hardest one of all, Veto Skreemer. He was the one who would rise from the gutter to rule the city. And nobody—not his enemies, not even his friends—would get in his way.
