™ and © Tome Press, a division of Caliber Comics

The Alamo was a fort held by Texans wanting the state to be free from Mexican rule, namely the dictatorship of Santa Anna. For 13 days, from Feb. 23, 1836 to March 6, 1936, the Mexican army fought to take control of the Alamo. The Texans lost; all of the Alamo’s soldiers were killed. The Siege of the Alamo depicts the most important events that happened just prior and during the bloody battle. There are also informative background articles about three of its significant participants: William Barret Travis, James Bowie, and David Crockett.
