Paradise X

After the events of Universe X, Captain America has become one of seven guardians of paradise. This is the paradise created by Mar-Vell to reward humanity but as in the biblical paradise, there are prohibitions to observe. In Universe X, Mar-Vell, the child of Him and Her, defeated Death and was portrayed as mankind’s messiah. Now in the realm of the living, since Death has been overcome, people with severe injuries are denied release and linger in agony. These do not appear to be the actions of a benevolent savior

This series is the final arc in the alternate future of the Marvel universe that started with Earth X and continued in Universe X. This trilogy was always been a high-concept story, but this arc has taken it to the realm of philosophy.
