The classic fairy tale “The Little Mermaid” was a true story, telling of Seira’s betrayal of her people. Now, her child has been born, potentially bringing an end to centuries of human/mer-people conflict.

It’s spawning season for the mer race, and so they travel from planets light-years away to return to Earth. Enter Shona, who has just arrived back on earth after a powerful visionary tells him he is destined to mate with the child of Seira. There are a few obstacles, though. Seira’s child seems to be suffering from amnesia and seems more interested in a washed-up dancer than Shona. And even more confusing: Shona’s prophesied mate appears to be a little boy.
