Millennium Edition: The Shadow

The end of a millennium is a historic event and is as good a reason as any to reprint significant issues from the past. From Action Comics No. 1 at the dawn of the Golden Age to JLA No. 1 of much more recent vintage and from Detective Comics to Young Romance Comics, DC reprinted a variety of comics, spanning generations as well as genres.

The Shadow, (DC’s version from 1973), is the one chosen for the gold foil seal treatment. Journeyman scribe Denny O’Neil of the Batman line was selected as the writer to bring this classic character back to the comic racks and the pairing with up and coming, (at the time), penciller Michael Kaluta, made this a title worthy of the millennium status.
