The Man Called A-X
(Malibu, 1994-1995)
™ and ©1994 Marv Wolfman and Shawn McManus
Never has a place been more appropriately named than the city of Bedlam. Here the police, the mayor, and virtually the entire populace are held tightly by the grip of corruption and unseen forces. Then the man called A-X appeared…and made things even worse.
The first to die were businessmen Andrew and Edward Taliss. A month later, an attempt was made on the life of Bedlam’s “favorite son” Garrison Gage. This was followed later by more murders and the destruction of the city’s power transmitters, leaving the entire city plunged into blackness. One after another, prominent figures fell before this seemingly unstoppable assassin. But who was the man called A-X? Not even he knew. His only identity came from a voice in his head which commanded him to kill the city’s criminals. What’s more, it seemed that his body could recover from virtually any injury—even, it seems, death itself.
